COLLABORATION BETWEEN TWO LOCAL GALLERIES
PALAIS DES VACHES GALLERY & VENUE ANNOUNCES FIRST COLLABORATIVE EXHIBITION PROGRAMME WITH COASTAL GALLERY LYMINGTON PREVIEW : SATURDAY 30TH OCTOBER FROM 11AM TO 4.00PM
Palais des Vaches Gallery and events venue has collaborated with Coastal Gallery in Lymington to showcase some of Hampshire’s finest artists, sculptors and ceramicists. The former goat barn in Exbury has been creatively transformed into a permanent art gallery and event space by artist, Caroline de Rothschild and her photographer husband, Nick de Rothschild, the President of Exbury Gardens. The unique space has been lovingly restored by a local team of artisans and craftspeople, and is large enough to accommodate 150 guests for weddings and functions.
Caroline comments, “We are so proud of the space we have created, and have long respected the reputation Stewart & Bev have built up at Coastal Gallery in Lymington – it seemed a natural fit to join forces.”
Palais des Vaches Gallery showcases work by Caroline and several other New Forest artists including John Illsley, Stewart Beckett, Tracey Dovey, Paula Mitchell, Paula Norris, Kim Thompson and sculptor, Long Ly. Coastal Gallery artists exhibiting in the space include Julie Collins, Jane Emberson, Stephen Powell, Chris Whittaker; sculptor, Andy Baerselman and ceramicist, Jackie Giron. Featured alongside is artwork by guest artists from London including Gohar Goddard, Biddy Hodgkinson and sculptor, Ingrid Sterling. Nick adds, ” Our aim is to establish Palais des Vaches as the foremost gallery and events space in Hampshire. We look forward to developing the quality and range of our artists with Stewart & Bev, and to presenting the highest standards of professional food and beverage service through our events partners, Red Herring, Ritual Feast and Lemon Stone Events.
